Mark Pariti, Founder
Mark Pariti began as a journeyman carpenter at the Brooklyn-based Woodworks where he developed a reputation for reliability, excellence, and speed. Early on, he found a specialty in landmark window restoration, learning to respect and appreciate the nuances of pre-war construction. During this time, he also got his start in leadership when he supervised a 45-man carpentry and framing crew in the construction of downtown Brooklyn’s Metrotech Center.
In 1986, Mark formed his own outfit Man at Work, which soon had 250+ clientele and a reputation for exceptional quality. The name changed to Men at Work as the business grew. Highlights include brownstone renovations across New York City; restoration work for the Montauk Club, Brooklyn Museum, Morgan Library and Lincoln Center; and renovation and spec houses in the Hamptons, Fire Island, and Arizona. Eventually, Mark moved into development, constructing Park Slope brownstones and Murray Hill townhouses. In 2008, he changed the company name again, to MP Design Consulting, inc. to reflect an emphasis on well-designed work.
Around 2018, MP Design Consulting, inc. found new opportunities for growth. The company built skilled teams specializing in carpentry and framing subcontracting to work on large multimillion-dollar, mixed-use apartment complex projects. Mark is in the field year-round leading these projects, which are financed by Housing Preservation and Development, New York City Housing Authority, and New York Housing Conferences (NYHC).
